The classic mini TV series and 1988 movie were based on a book by Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren. The Pippi Longstocking house and other exterior shots for the productions were all filmed on Amelia Island in Northeast Florida.

According to Zillow the Pippi Longstocking villa sold for $640,000 in February 2020. The exact address is 212 Estrada Street, Fernandina Beach, FL. This is what it says on Zillow: Built in 1888 by Captain James Bell. It was later owned by harbor pilot Captain Robert Downes and then made famous around the world in 1988 when the home was featured as Villa Villekulla, the fictional home of Pippi Longstocking. It comes at no surprise that this one-of-a-kind quirky Victorian-esque house is one of Fernandina Beach's most photographed homes. It's got a wide variety of gingerbread motifs to adore and you can view more pictures of the House at Southern Living.
